Meet Daniela
A little something about me...
I am a registered psychotherapist with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. I have been working in mental health for over 20 years supporting individuals struggling with a broad range of issues, including trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief, as well as those who feel stressed or “stuck.”
Over the years, I have trained in different counselling approaches because there is no one-size-fits-all solution for everyone. I have training in new, cutting-edge treatments informed by neuroscience, like EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Brainspotting. I also have experience with many traditional “talk” therapies, like CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). We will use a therapeutic approach tailored specifically for you.

Our life experiences make us who we are, and those experiences have likely included adversity. I believe we all have innate capacity to heal and incredible inner strength to use adversity to learn and grow. And sometimes we need help to do that. That is my role. But this is your story. I am not the hero of your story. You are. I am your reliable partner and trustworthy ally. I listen to you. I follow your lead. Metaphorically, I am there to saddle your horse, or hand you the shield, or straighten your cape. And at the end of the story, you ride off, march off or fly off to live a better, fuller, happier life.
I am looking forward to writing that story with you.
